How to Build a Blog That Google Will Love

If you want Google to love your blog, the experienced SEO Company Vaughan suggests you do one thing: Write a lot of long articles. It sounds simple enough — and it is! But it’s not always easy. You have to go out of your way to create content that Google views as valuable and authoritative. This means spending more time writing each piece than you might prefer, but it’ll be worth it when you see traffic spike in response to your efforts.

Focus on quality over speed.

The first thing you’ll notice when you start building a blog is that it takes time.

That’s OK because if you’re doing it right, your blog will be around for a long time and provide value to readers for years to come. In fact, Google looks favourably upon quality content over speed (after all, no one wants to read the same old junk). It’s better to write fewer posts with great information than an overwhelming amount of mediocre content because:

  • Quality attracts more readers and thus increases traffic.
  • Quality content tends to be shared more than low-quality material making it easier to build links and increase rankings on search engines.
  • High-quality articles are longer lasting as they are written with an eye toward long-term SEO

Choose a topic that’s evergreen, broad, and not too competitive.

  • The first step to choosing a topic is to think about the kind of content you want to write. Do you want a blog that’s evergreen? Evergreen topics are ones that are relevant year-round, such as “how to grow your hair long.”
  • Next, consider how broad or specific this topic should be. Broad topics are more general and likely more competitive than specific ones; for example, if I wanted to write about growing your hair long, I could choose either “How To Grow Your Hair” or “How To Grow Your Hair Longer Than Most People In Our World: A Guide For Those Who Suffer From Shortness Of Strand.” The former would probably get more traffic because it has fewer keywords but may not provide as detailed information on the subject (since there are many other ways people can grow their hair). The latter will have fewer clicks but may provide better insight into what makes someone with short stubble stand out among those with long locks (like maybe they’re using extensions).
  • Finally, consider whether or not you have competitors who already cover this topic on their blogs—if so, then yours might have difficulty gaining traction for SEO Vaughan unless it offers something unique enough that readers won’t feel like they’ve already read everything they need from someone else’s site!

Use your keywords wisely.

When it comes to keywords, the more you use them, the better. But don’t go overboard. If you’re writing a post about buying a house, for example, incorporate your keyword phrase into your title and subheadings but avoid stuffing it into every other sentence—that would be too obvious.

Instead of using one word over and over again, try using synonyms and different versions of your keyword to make things more natural sounding and less repetitive (e.g., if you’re writing about buying a house for sale by an owner in Chicago’s suburbs—and not just any old home—you might say “house” instead of “home”).

It’s also important to include the same or similar keywords in different parts of your article (use them once per paragraph) so that Google knows what type of content this is:

Write a lot of long articles, but also short ones.
